Roster43 is an openly accessible web gazetteer — a structured catalogue of registered online destinations organised into 22 clearly defined sections. The project takes its name from the tradition of the printed roster or index, adapted for the modern web.
The directory currently lists 825 approved entries submitted by site operators from around the world. Each submission is reviewed before being added to the relevant section of the index. Once registered, a site remains in the catalogue for as long as the operator wishes it to.
Roster43 does not charge for listings and does not accept payment for preferential placement. The order of entries within each section reflects the sequence in which submissions were received and approved, not commercial priority or editorial ranking.
The catalogue covers a broad range of sectors and purposes, from technology and healthcare to travel, legal services, and general-purpose listings. The aim is to provide a methodical, navigable index that serves researchers, casual browsers, and operators looking to register an active web presence.
New submissions are welcome across all 22 sections. Operators can submit a site through the standard listing form, and the review process is typically completed within a short period. Roster43 is a living index and the number of registered entries continues to grow as new sites are submitted and accepted.
